其实,由于国外公用车很少,人们说car的话,就是指私家车,前面不用加private.
而且,private一般都含有“隐私的”意思.
如果是personal car,则表示这个汽车只能装一个人.

Private car/personal car - both are ok but express slightly different meaning. However, for most of us, both meant the same thing --> your car. This is because most of us do not have company car.
