Timo Tolkki是芬兰首席古典旋律金属大老Stratovarius乐队的当家吉他手,其个人风格深受 Ritchie Blackmore、Randy Rhoads 等前辈的影响.他以浓厚的古典音乐背景为其基础,并以巴洛克调式音阶理论编写乐句.这些年来 Timo 为腾云创作出经典乐曲的同时,也致力于个人专辑的制作.
1994 年发表的个人首张作品 "Classical Variations and Themes",部份内容取材自古典乐曲.
2002 年发表第二张个人作品 “Hymn To Life”
《Are you the One》选自他的第二张专辑,这首歌是荷兰歌特厄运乐队within temptation主唱sharon den adel与timo tolkki合作的结晶.《Are you the one》的歌词,这首歌曲,很有表现力,歌词平实动人,节奏轻缓优美,从乐曲中就可感受到“爱的深情”.它一反常态,一开始把和弦分解交由合成器的键盘完成,并且贯穿全曲,电吉他的重低音在高潮处进入不久后即又收回,接后时隐时现.后段用明亮的失真音与歌手对唱,就像一对恋人在交织倾诉衷情,将等待恋人的心情抒发的极为透彻,妙不可言.
